Responsibilities Overview
The position is primarily responsible for helping load dairy products from coolers and freezers to the 4 delivery trucks by hand truck. This individual would also help to fill in for a delivery driver when they are out from time to time as well as help with minor maintenance around the creamery.
Class B License required.

Requires significant manual labor.
- Work wear consists of clean pants, hat, and appropriate shirt along with hairnet, beard-net, etc. if applicable. Non slip shoes and gloves are required.
- Be able to move box trucks from dock and in yard before and after loading.
- Be able to operate a manual transmission is desired.
- Frequently check for error codes on Thermo-King throughout shift and report to Logistics Manager if error code is displayed
- Upon drivers return remove empty crates and unused milk from trucks on loading days, returning unused milk to the appropriate places
- Load all dairy products (crates of milk and ice cream) on trucks on delivery days according to load lists. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Be familiar with (FIFO First in first out)
- Take daily milk inventory as needed.
- Help to keep grounds clean from trash.
- Help to wash and sanitize crates when needed.
- Perform general maintenance as needed. (Changing bulbs, filters, emptying trash, etc.)
- Unload pallet deliveries as needed, ability to operate a skid steer, desired
- Fill in on delivery routes and/or make unscheduled deliveries/pick-ups as needed.
- Pull and assist with pick up orders.

Responsibilities:
Production team members are responsible for assisting the Production Processing Manager with the everyday functions of processing dairy products from start up to the end of day sanitation. All team members are responsible for learning each process but may each have primary responsivities.
- Wear appropriate work wear and safety wear. (uniform, hairnet, hat, gloves, beard net, hearing protection and eye ware)
- Change into processing boots and hat from locker each work day.
- Be aware of doors inside as well as exterior doors and keep shut as much as possible to reduce pests.
- Be familiar with various dairy products and the procedures to process them correctly.
- Assemble pipes and equipment such as filler and labeler during each processing day.
- Be knowledge of chemical list and how to use each one in the sanitation process. Use PPE (personal protective equipment) when using chemicals.
- Be familiar with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) as well as being familiar with protocols for proper sanitation and ensure they are being followed properly.
- Maintain awareness of freezer and cooler doors and keep closed when not in use to keep products at appropriate temperature.
- Understand organization of products in coolers and work with loaders and Logistics Manager to ensure milk is being rotated properly.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically.
- Wash hands each time re-entering the processing room.
- Mop cooler floors and storage area with Clorox solution if needed and mop or squeegee out any standing water in cooler.
- Be able to build and tear down designated machinery to ensure cleanliness
- Assist in cleaning tanks, cream cans, and other equipment.
- Assist in taking trash and recycling out at the end of each day from the processing room.
- Breaks are to be taken upon approval of Processing Supervisor.
- No electronics allowed in processing area such as phones, ear buds, head set, etc.

Reports to: Logistics Manager
Part Time: 20 + hours with possibility of more if desired
Responsibilities:
- Workwear consists of pants, hat, closed toe, nonslip shoes, and appropriate shirt. (Inappropriate graphics are not allowed on attire while at work.)
- Plug refer units in on trucks to start cooling if not already plugged in everyday
- Frequently check for error codes on Thermo-King throughout shift and report to Logistics Manager if error code is displayed
- Make sure all doors are closed after entering and leaving
- Upon drivers return inventory left over milk and use or put away correctly.
- Load all products on trucks on delivery days according to load lists.
- Understand FIFO procedures to ensure oldest milk is loaded first.
- Ensure crates on truck are rotated where oldest milk is closest to back to be delivered first.
- Take milk inventory on loading days after trucks are loaded.
- Ensure accurate loading by double counting all product on trucks and documenting on the load sheet.
- After trucks are loaded, park them in designated areas and plug in drop cords
- Prepare frozen delivery bags with tickets using several staples. Place in appropriate truck
- Always check labels on frozen products to ensure they are correct and keep freezer products organized.
- Pull ice-cream using Ice Cream Rotation Procedures from Frozen Manager.
- Mop cooler floors routinely and if needed and squeegee out any standing water.
- Wash crates and the dock on a weekly basis.
- Ensure dock and truck parking area are free from trash, and debris.
- Gather up all empty crates throughout plant and put on loading dock.
- Ensure coolers are left organized and neat after loading trucks.
- Make sure freezer and cooler doors are closed and properly secured and that all lights are turned off before leaving.
- On non-loading days check with Logistics Manager to know what tasks are needed.
- Perform various tasks by management as needed.
